Good habits

A kid asked her mom,"If there are two wolves inside of me the good and the bad one which one will win?" Wise mom said "The one that you feed more".

As I reflect myself and see how beat up my good wolf and how fat the big bad wolf. It brings a shame upon me and so I patch the wound on my good wolf, I hug him I carry him away from danger, give him food and shelter. I turn the song "eye of the tiger". I train him to fight while luring the big bad wolf to pile of poisonous meat.

My good wolf will prevail...

Listen

My teacher used to say that God creates two ears and one mouth for a reason. Percentage wise that just shows we need to listen 2/3 of the time and the rest for speaking. As a leader you are not always giving instructions, there are times to receive input and to analyse before executing.

A leader is a follower, too in a sense that not everything has to come from his own creativity. It can come from his subordinate or even a stranger.

I always have this believe that the more you speak the less information you get from other individuals hence the less learning you could gain. That is why to strike balance more on listening is such crucial art in leading others.

Take out all the pre-judgement and perception when asking questions. Trully listen and understand what it meant from other person's reference. Your reference is not others.

Listen and you shall learn.
